Toothbrush? Check. Swimming costume? Check. Warm clothes? Check. Cool clothes? Check. Diana was just summing up all that she had packed. This world tour with her family was going to be just great. The best part was when she won the double, triple roll-over jackpot in the national lottery. She didn't know what to do with all the money so decided to share some of it with her whole family all over the world and take everyone on a world trip. She hadn't even met some family members and was really looking forward to it. "Oops, they've just called my flight." She flurries around her stuff, picks up her bags and gets ready to board the plane. They were all going to meet at a pre-planned destination to start their world journey. She was so excited. "Yippee". Di ran down the ramp and didn't even bother to see whether it was the correct tunnel. Right down to the end of the tunnel and then "EEEyikes!" She fell off the end of the ramp as it was the wrong tunnel and there was no plane at the end. "Gathump!" as she hit the deck.

Hello Big Sis. Just picked you off the runway and placed you on my trolley. Leading you to the RIGHT plane - the one to Malta. First stop. Looking forward to seeing family and cousins there. Tyrone?? Has not contacted me for AGES. Need to check if he is still alive, then visit the clubs in St Julians to see if they remember the mad South African/Londoner/Maltesey/Egyption girl from a few years ago. Now she can not only Belly Dance, but is taking Pole Dancing lessons too!! Hold on - it's going to be a bumpy, noisy ride.......

"But, Carole" Di retorts, "What do you mean you have not heard from Tyrone in ages? I told you to organize his ticket and send Antonio and Anthony and the rest of the family their tickets. Have you not done it yet?" "Nope," replies Carole, "Tyrone will be in Malta anyway, so thought I would just give him his ticket on to our next stop when we get there. Antonio? Omigosh! I did e-mail him and tell him that his tickets were booked and he just needed to pick up at the airport." Meanwhile Carole is silently wondering. "Did I tell him? Did I send it to the right e-mail address?" "Well, Di, why didn't you do it?" Di replies "But I asked you to do it....." The air stewardess looks in their direction. "Oh, dear" she thinks, "This is going to be a loooong flight."

Oops...I have lost all my email address contacts via my Dominomail account. Therefore - noone can contact me via email unless they know my Hotmail account. The Boetie's email to send the ticket to is: antoniogerada@aol.com, I think?? I will try and resend it to him. As for Tyrone - well he did not reply. So maybe he does not want to join this trip. If you have his email - perhaps he will accept an invite from you, big sissie-poo. I will email the Joss, but she is in Paris right now so may need to catch up to us in a little while.... By the way - we have landed in Malta now. What to do first? Find accommodation? Go to the beach? Have lunch? As it is 13:40 - I reckon we need to ditch the luggage at the accommodation - then have lunch - then off to the pool!!

While Carole and Di are wondering what they are going to do, Di's mobile phone rings. It is Antonio. "Hi, sis. Well, we're here, where should we meet you?" "Are you at the airport?" asks Di. "Yep" the boetie replies "Honolulu International". "HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL? What the cook are you doing there?" shouts Di. "Well, I just used one of the tickets you sent me. Why what's wrong?" asks the boetie. "Antonio, that was meant to be our third stop. We were supposed to meet in Malta first. Okay, okay, don't panic, something like this was bound to happen. Listen, Boet, I'm going to see what we should do. I'll ask Carole. Either you need to get on a flight to Malta or we will use our tickets to meet you in Honolulu." Margaret starts mumbling under her breathe. "I told him it was Malta, but noooo, he always knows best. Hopefully his littles sisters will sort this whole mess out." Di pulls and tugs at Carole who is running into a restaurant. Carole and the smell of food are like magnets to each other. "Carole, wait, we have a problem." "Yes, I know," replies Carole "My stomach is rumbling and I need something to eat." Di gives in and then over lunch discusses the situation with Carole. Carole always thinks better on a full stomach, so the decision is................

I've swam across the harbour a couple of times, however I was 15 years old then now i'm almost 53, Ha Ha. Or perhaps a little sojourne to Gozo and have some grapes, or perhaps their end result.... Wine, beautiful, lovely, nice. Maybe Honolulu next stop, Waikiki beach, white sand brought in from Australia. Then i'll hire a Harley and motor around to the top end for some surfing, great! Yeh you'll love it... and me, lots of love Boety.

On a full stomach. When did you ever know me to not have a full stomach? Well, after a few lurches taking off from Malta (due to the excess baggage carried on the plane!!!), we finally arrived at Honolulu! Fabbo!! Never been there before. It is just as the Boetie described! White powder sandy beaches - yee hah! Can I just run through the sand naked? Oh please - let me, let me.....I am sooooo excited. Need to speak to Margaret about where to go tonight. Knowing how romantic Tony and Margaret are - no such thing as a quiet tete-a-tete dinner for too. No sirreeeeee - we are ALL going together!! Looking forward to it. Tony, please order for me, as you know what I like. ALL SEAFOOD. Yummy...

"Hey, will you guys stop whipping me around so fast. Malta, Gozo, Honolulu. Give me some time to take in the sights and enjoy the food. Sheesh!" Di had forgotten how fast paced her brother and sister could be. She always does everything at snail pace so that she can savor the moment. She had also forgotten what a tease her brother could be. Sitting in Valetta and saying he is in Honolulu. Now Carole wants to go clubbing tonight. All Di feels like doing is sitting on one of those beautiful beaches with one of those long drinks with the umbrella inside and watch the sun set. She looks over at her sister. Ball of energy just rearing to go, go, go. She looks over at her brother and Margaret. Old people in their fifties and holding hands. It is just so touching. They have just approached the hotel. Wow! This looks lovely. Carole shouts, "Which one's our room, Di?" Di sniggers, "Our room? No ways. We each have a room of our own. I am not going to put up with you attacking me with your bodily functions all night."

Well what a lovely room we have here in Valetta, It's the King suite! Wow. Just look at the beautiful floral arrangement on the large mahogany table in the entrance hall, and two bathrooms, now which one will I claim? First a shower then hop into the spa and call in the masseure for that trip has made me a little stiff. Ah thats the life, and what do I see there? A lovely bottle of my favourite whisky in the bar surrounded by the best crystal glasses, perhaps Margaret would prefer a dry martini, yes i'll make a couple of drinks. But wait! my beautiful sisters are also in the hotel, I'll ring them to join us in pre dinner drinks in our suite. Ah, now what was that seafood restaurants name? I'll call concearge to book a table for 4. Great we'll have a lovely dinner, lobster.prawns etc. makes me feel like i'm in Sydney. Followed by a couple of bottles of their best wine then on to the action! I never thought Malta could be soooo gooood.

Ah, actually, Big Bro. I have my baby daughter with me, remember, Danielle? That's the Dani I have been referring to. So you better book a table for 5, unless there is anyone else you have forgotten. Di - did you not bring the family with you? Glad you got the king size room, so we can party in your room and leave mine crumb free!! By the way, you guys - have you figured out the answer to Dani's question yet? You know, the one: What factor sun cream does a Goth use to eliminate the sun's rays from touching their body? Answers via next story update, please! So, I see that Di got a touch too much sun today - soaking up the midday rays! But she is from S.A. so can handle it. Me? I am nicely bronzed in an Egyptian way - just topped up the tan from India - so no ultra glow for me. The Joss (that's Dani for the unitiated) - still ultra glow white - but the face is brown. Boy, is that going to blow her street cred in Goth City! But she is like me - does not want to risk the lobster burn factor. Plus, I is getting an old girl now - 43 in March!!! So need to make sure I don't have to become a Botox contender as all my elderly friends around me are resorting to. Still unlined and looking like I'm in my early 30's........Oh, that must mean that the Boet and the Big Sissie are older than me - hey - I feel so much better already!! Looking forward to my LARGE seafood platter with all the trimmings, etc......yummy, yummy tummy. Where will we go to boogy it all off? Is there a pole on the premises?

Di lies back on one of the sedans in the big boets king size suite, wearing the sarong she pulled out of Margaret's suitcase. She just loves rummaging in other people's luggage. Poor Margaret is still trying to fathom this sister out, but inwardly decides that she likes Di and is sure they are going to have a lot of fun and a lot to talk about. "Totsi! You forgot the olive in my martini" Di cries out. Antonio replies, "Heavens, I haven't heard myself called that in, let me see, sheesh, it must be a good 40 years or so. Hey, Lolita Sheila, stop whining, I have everything organised." And boy, has he. It is quite plain to see that Antonio has done this sort of thing quite often and everyone is eager enough to leave everything in his capable hands. Just as this thought passed everyone's mind....slip....trip...and topple goes Antonio's whiskey all over Carole's freshly blow dryed hair. She blows the dangly strings hanging in front of her face as Antonio apologises in his cheeky way mumbling something about it being a waste of good whiskey. Di has slunk away into the boets bedroom and is searching Margaret's cupboard for something to wear to go out jolling tonight when she comes across.............

This girl with electric blue, green, black, yellow and whites streaks in her hair. "Pack the cards away" says Di "You had better find someone to fix your hair before we go out. Hang, all the hairdressers are closed and I don't know anyone who can do your hair (grin)." Just then Antonio walks into the room, grabs the whiskey from the Joss and tells everyone to go back to their own rooms and get ready for dinner. "Oh, by the way, Carole," Di responds to her previous question about the family not being with her, "Ron told me to go on without him as he now has all this money I won in the lottery to go to the best clinics and doctors in America to mend his leg that he crushed when he fell off the mountain almost 2 years ago. We'll probably catch up with Clifford and Candace when we get to Kathmandu and climb the Himalayas looking for our guru." "Out, out, scoot." Antonio starts shoving them out the door. "I'm so sorry Margaret," he starts apologizing to his wife "I hope that you do not mind being subjected to this mad family of mine for a while. Don't worry dear, I'm sure we will find a lot of moments to be on our own."

Have a good time whatever and however and whoever you celebrate with. I totally understand your detour, Tony and Margaret to Nat's place. Give her all our love. We will be thinking about her as we swing around the poles tonight. By the way - I am being inundated with offers for Danni's hand in marriage - these people are FASCINATED by her hair! Everywhere we go, no matter what colour it appears to be at that stage - they are FASCINATED! Whether it be black, blue, pink or whatever - must be the pale complexion that goes with it. What was the answer to her question, by the way? Remember, the one about the Goth Sun Factor cream??? By the way - again....How do I look tonight? I am wearing my black long skirt with slits up both sides and my black halter neck top - shows off the tan quite well. What about my hair? Do these shoes look good with this outfit? Or should I wear the other ones? I guess my hair looks better now it's been doused in Jack Daniel's - looks like I've just come out from the sea - beautiful!!! Thanks, guys. Smells good, too. Should attract some attention tonight....

Hiya - I don't believe you. Telling the others the answer! I know, the old people are a bit slow. Anyway - you guys. I decided that we would ALL go with Tony and Margaret to Melbourne so we just bring our Aussie schedule up a bit. After Melbourne, we can head for Sydney. Then we can all come back to London and visit and then we can go 'en famille' to Liverpool Uni to check out where the Joss will spend the next 4 years of her life. So - what's the weather like in Melbourne - HOT! We can keep up the suntan's now. Natalie and Steve? They seem to be fine - but Tony and Margaret have seen them first - so they better up date us.
